About Me

I have always admired the vigour and power of the large 1950s works of De Kooning in America and the quiet yet powerful compositions of Ben Nicholson in England of the same period.

I want the painting to look organic. As important as the "life" of the gesture is to me, so too is the RESONANCE of the colour and I work very hard on this. After 9/11, colour disappeared from my palette and for a long time I was only able to paint in black or silver.

I attempt to make a statement about my sensuality, lust for life, love of nature and the joy of colour and always to create something that is wholly original.
